The provision provides educational support for children and young people aged 4 to 18 who cannot attend mainstream school due to a diagnosed complex medical and/or mental health condition. Most are dual registered with their own mainstream or special school.
The Medical Provision is made up of four sections
- Marlborough House – A Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit (CAMHS) which is part of Oxford Health
- Great Western Hospital in Swindon
- Hospital and Education, Tuition and Outreach Service (HETOS)
- 1:1 Tuition Service
The Medical Provision is part of the Riverside College and more information about the different sections can be found via the Riverside Link on the website.
The documents attached here contain information that help schools support young people with medical needs, within their own school. There is also information on how schools can make a referral to our service.
